Welcome to Vinahus, the House of Friends – my bespoke built eco-house, and enjoy the stunning design, the light, the spacious rooms, the heavenly views, the eclectic contents and, of course, the peace and quiet.
Come and stay in my beautiful, hillside eco-home and enjoy one of the best views the Isle of Skye offers.
Vinahaus Bed & Breakfast is set in the countryside but is well-connected – just a few minutes away from Armadale ferry terminal and the local facilities of Armadale and Ardvasar villages on the Isle of Skye.
Building my own home in a stunning location with help from friends has been a lifetime’s ambition. Vinahaus – it’s Old Norse and means House of Friends – has turned out to be spacious, light-filled, warm and comfortable. It is heated and powered by renewable energy.
My house offers wonderful views across the Sound of Sleat with the ever-changing sea and sky and the glorious coastline and mountains of the Scottish mainland beyond. There are miles of coast, hills, and woods to explore nearby and a little swimming cove at the bottom of the hill.
Come and go whenever you want. Enjoy Vinahaus, its lovely semi-wild, semi-cultivated garden, and the beautiful nature and landscapes which embrace it.

The Isle of Skye
With its dramatic Cuillin mountains and rich wildlife – otters, white-tailed eagles and many other birds. Whale-watching cruises, whisky distilleries, art and craft galleries … there’s plenty to see and do.
